Sept. 2008, Women’s Care at RiverBend Opens New Aesthetics Center

Springfield, Ore.— An open house on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will introduce the community to The Aesthetics Center at Women’s Care RiverBend. The Aesthetics Center is co-located with the Women’s Care RiverBend office at 3100 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Springfield.

The new medical spa is owned by Women’s Care, Lane County’s oldest independent physician group specializing in women’s health. According to Dr. Paula Jewett, medical director for The Aesthetics Center at Women’s Care, the new facility will offer the latest FDA-approved non-invasive procedures to significantly enhance appearance without the pain, risks and recovery time of surgery.

Procedures offered at the Aesthetics Center at Women’s Care will include laser treatments for wrinkle reduction, hair removal, leg and facial vein treatment, skin rejuvenation and skin tightening. Also available will be microdermabrasion as well as body contouring. The center also offers the SkinMedica line of aesthetic skin care products that rejuvenate skin, reverse sun damage and maintain the benefits of clinical and surgical procedures.

According to Jewett, The Aesthetics Center at Women’s Care will offer the most advanced techniques, procedures and applications with documented results. “Our work is performed by a certified aesthetician with specialized training, expertise and proficiency, and our services cause minimal discomfort and involve little or no downtime,” she explains. She notes that the center’s affiliation with Women’s Care means that all work performed is supervised by a medical doctor.

Jewett, a gynecologist with Women’s Care, has a personal interest in exercise physiology, strength training and the aging process of women. She has designed her practice of aesthetics to complement the health care services she and her physician colleagues offer at Women’s Care. According to Dr. Jewett, “A healthy sense of self can be artfully enhanced through gentle treatments designed to manage the effects of aging, bringing out your inner beauty."
