Egg Donor Program
Welcome to The Fertility Center of Oregon!
We appreciate your interest in our Egg Donor Program. We are a regional fertility center, established in 1978 and located in Eugene, Oregon. This is an anonymous program where we will use your eggs to help a couple achieve their goal of a successful pregnancy. This is a wonderful way to help a couple fulfill their dreams of becoming parents.

Donor eggs offer the possibility of childbearing to women whose ovaries are absent or who have ovarian failure and do not produce eggs that can be fertilized. By using IVF techniques, eggs are retrieved from a donor and fertilized by the sperm of the recipient’s partner. Two embryos are placed into the recipient’s uterus, any remaining embryos are frozen for that recipient’s future use.
All egg donors must meet the following requirements before participating in our program:
- Age 21-30
- Have your own comprehensive health insurance (other than Oregon Health Plan)
- Be in good health and physically fit
- Be willing to go off birth control pills (or ring or patch) for one month.
The actual cycle for undergoing egg donation will require a commitment of approximately six (6) weeks (although you will be seen in our office an average of 8 times in that period of 6 weeks). Most appointments are in the morning (usually 20-30 minutes), allowing you to make it to work / school on time. Your absolute commitment is very important to the program and we will make every attempt to minimize disruption to your usual schedule.
The retrieval procedure takes approximately one hour and after the procedure you should plan to rest at home the remainder of the day. This is the only day that you can not participate in your normal activities.
In addition to the tremendous gratification in assisting a couple to realize their dream of parenthood, you will be compensated $4,000 for your participation.
