Women's Care Adds Three New Physician Partners

OB/GYNs to join Women’s Care from PeaceHealth Medical Group
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Drs. Brant L. Cooper, Kimberly A. Bock and Suzanne T. Temple have joined Women’s Care Physicians and Surgeons as obstetricians/gynecologists (OB/GYNs), starting Oct. 1, 2011. Bock and Temple will move their practices to Women’s Care at RiverBend, 3100 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Springfield, while Cooper's practice will be moving to Women's Care at Country Club, 590 Country Club Parkway, Suite B, in Eugene, Ore. All will continue to provide medical services at PeaceHealth’s Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.
Women’s Care is the oldest independent physician group specializing in women’s health in Lane County. The physicians at Women’s Care are committed to partnerships that honor patient individuality and dignity while providing health care services ranging from obstetrics and gynecology to fertility and genetics at three locations in Eugene and Springfield. Women’s Care is a member of Northwest Specialty Clinics, a consortium of independent physicians who share a common philosophy of excellence in patient care.
All three doctors previously worked at PeaceHealth Medical Group. Together, they bring almost three decades worth of combined experience to Women’s Care.
“Women’s Care and PeaceHealth have a longstanding collaborative relationship and we are pleased to announce the addition of these three excellent physician partners,” said Dr. Matthew Haugen, president of Women's Care. “They are already well-known and respected in our community and they will only add to the comprehensive and compassionate obstetrics and gynecologic care that patients have come to expect from Women’s Care.”
Originally from Colorado, Bock is a board-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. Bock attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in OB/GYN at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C. She believes care and treatment decisions belong with her patients.
Cooper is a board-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology who believes in making careful, deliberate choices to better serve his patients. Cooper attended medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed his residency in OB/GYN at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He says being an OB/GYN allows him to be “a true general practitioner.”
Temple, a board-certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, served in the Army as an OB/GYN based at Ft. Wainwright, near Fairbanks, Alaska. Temple attended medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Madigan Army Medical Center at Ft. Lewis, Washington. She says it is her privilege to help women to better understand their bodies and their medical options. She believes a woman who makes informed choices and trusts in her medical plan is more empowered to see it through.
