Take Time for Yourself
We could all use a little more time to nurture ourselves, and to rest and rejuvenate. We’re not good to our families, our employers or ourselves when we’re harried and exhausted. And our physical and mental health suffer, as well.
Recognize that you deserve some alone time. Put the ‘To Do’ list aside for awhile, and carve out a little time just for yourself every day or every week. Here are a few activities you might try: Socialize with a friend while going for a quick walk; enroll in an exercise class; write in a journal; read a book; take a bubble bath with candlelight and relaxing music; plant and tend a small garden; visit an art gallery or museum; explore a new hobby.
Most importantly, enjoy yourself. The more you do, the easier it will become to schedule pleasure into your hectic day. And after all, you deserve it!
