General Preoperative Checklist

Before Surgery

Complete your Pre-Admission Testing.

Schedule your post-operative office visit.

During the 7-day period preceding your surgery:

• DO NOT TAKE ANY ASPIRIN OR PRODUCTS CONTAINING NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY INGREDIENTS, e.g., Advil, Motrin, Bufferin, etc. Please note that many over-the-counter medications contain aspirin and/or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory ingredients. Please inform your physician immediately if you regularly take aspirin. For management of headaches and pain, during this period you may use Tylenol and Tylenol Extra Strength.
• DO NOT TAKE ANY HERBAL MEDICATIONS OR NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS.
