Practices at Eugene: The Ten Coburg

Dr. Gillian “Jill” Betterton was born in the UK, raised in the Midwest, and has spent most of her adult life in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. After teaching high school and working in research, she entered the University of Vermont College of Medicine and graduated in 1992. She completed her internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Olive View Medical Center/UCLA and went on to finish her residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia.

A love of the mountains and the wonderful people of the Pacific Northwest drew Jill and her family to Eugene where they have been enjoying life ever since. Jill raised two children in Eugene and as a family, they enjoy all it has to offer. She and her husband enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, x-country skiing, and the theatre. Jill is also a coxswain for a master’s rowing team.

Jill works with women of all ages, from adolescence, through menopause and beyond. She has a strong commitment to women’s health through individual, compassionate care and community involvement.

Jill took a creative writing class at the U of O in 2012 just for fun, and she was born in England and immigrated to the United States at age 7.
