Practices at Center for Genetics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine

A San Francisco Bay Area native, Jennifer Winterbottom fell in love with the Pacific Northwest while studying at the University of Oregon, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2017. She then worked as a clinical research coordinator at Stanford University’s Division of Child Neurology, conducting clinical trials for children with intractable epilepsy. Her experience there sparked an interest in genetic counseling, leading her to pursue a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling at Ohio State University, which she completed in 2024. During her clinical rotations, Jennifer was exposed to various specialties and discovered a passion for working with pregnant individuals.

Jennifer values building relationships with her patients and being a source of support during stressful times. She finds genetic counseling to be the perfect blend of medicine and counseling, providing a unique opportunity to educate patients while giving them the space to share their stories.

Drawn back to Oregon, Jennifer now resides in Eugene, close to family in Portland and Bend. She enjoys camping, hiking, exploring new foods and spending time with her dog, Bentley. In her free time, she practices yoga, plays soccer and connects with friends.
